The land now known as Ketterman Ranch was acquired by Matthew and Tamara Ketterman in 2020, during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic—a time when the world paused and perspectives shifted. What began as a family refuge soon became a long-term vision: to create a private sanctuary where nature, tradition, and refined Texas hospitality converge.
Over the past five years, every acre has been thoughtfully cultivated. We’ve introduced more than 40 exotic species to the land and invested in the complete transformation of the ranch’s infrastructure—remodeling existing structures and building new ones from the ground up. Today, Ketterman Ranch stands as a 1,228-acre, members-only retreat designed to offer an unmatched experience of comfort, seclusion, and authenticity in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.
